The legal age to use a sunbed in the UK is 18. We have a strict ‘Look 25’ policy in all of our studios. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked for photographic ID before you can use a sunbed.

Once you have signed up as a member and your account has been age verified, you will not need to present your ID again. You can sign up here.

The recommended minimum age for spray tanning in our studios is 16. We ask that you bring along a parent or guardian if you are under 18.

You will need to be 18 or over to use collagen red light treatment in our studios.

Your sunbed session will be in a private cabin so it’s completely your choice. Some people wear underwear and others prefer to tan naked to avoid tan lines.

If you do prefer to tan naked, remember that some areas of your body may be more sensitive to UV light such as nipples, underarms and buttocks. To protect these areas, you can cover them up for part of the session until they become less sensitive.

The insides of the arms and legs do not tan as easily because they contain fewer pigment-forming cells than the skin on the rest of the body.

The face does not tan as easily either because it has a naturally thicker Horny layer – providing special protection from UVB.

Freckles and moles contain a particularly high amount of tanning pigments and therefore go darker much more quickly than other areas of the skin.

If you choose a lie-down sunbed, remember to shift your body weight every few minutes. This will help you avoid white patches caused by pressure points.

Your tan will last on average 2-4 weeks after your last session. Our skin sheds gradually everyday and the upper layers renew themselves completely every month. You can maintain your tan with 1-2 tanning sessions a week and a good tanning lotion.

This depends on your skin type, the tan enhancer you use and your current skin colour. In general, the average person can develop a base tan in 3 to 5 sessions. Your tan can then be maintained with around 1-2 sessions a week.

You should wait a minimum of 48 hours between sunbed sessions. We recommend visiting 2-3 times a week until you have developed the tan you desire. You can then maintain with 1-2 sessions a week.

Definitely not. You could burn during your sunbed session if you have sunbathed the same day. We recommend leaving 48 hours after sunbathing before having a sunbed, and vice versa.

Wearing eye protection is essential. Shutting your eyes is not enough. If you don’t wear adequate eye protection (Winkease or sunbed goggles), you run the risk of damaging your eyes permanently.
